University of Agriculture in Krakow

The University of Agriculture in Krakow derives from the Jagiellonian University, where agriculture and forestry were taught at university level since 1890. At present it is the only University of Agriculture in Poland.

It educates specialists in the fields of agriculture, forestry, biology, animal breeding, veterinary medicine, environmental protection, biotechnology, geodesy, environmental engineering, food technology, technology and production engineering, economics and management.

University infrastructure is composed ofthree campuses and University Centre forVeterinary Medicine. The Malopolska Centerfor Monitoring and Certification of Food isalso operating within the University structures.Practical training is conducted at 28experimental stations with a total area c.a.7 thousand ha.

Scientific cooperation maintainedfor many years with almost 100 institutionsof higher education in Poland andabroad allows students to complete a partof their studies and practical training abroadand gain valuable experience.
