Jesuit University Ignatianum

Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow is a catholic school of university standing run by Jesuits which is officially recognized by state authorities. It consists of two faculties: The Faculty of Philosophy and The Faculty of Education.

There are programmes for full-time as well as extramural studies. The educational provision at both faculties also includes a number of postgraduate studies.


The University of the Third Age, aimed at people aged 50 +, has been functioning at the Jesuit University Ignatianum in Krakow since 2009. The University's motto is "Man - Culture - Religion - Society". The programme of studies lasts for six semesters. It includes lectures, cultural and artistic events as well as interest groups.


The university has also prepared an interesting proposal for the youngest, launching the Ignatianum Children's Academy which gives children the opportunity to participate in interesting activities, contributing to their intellectual development.
