Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk

The Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk was established in 1996. The school is a precursory non-state owned higher education institution in Northern Poland, preparing personnel for tourism and self-governmental economy as well as trade and services.


About the Academy

WSTiH is known as the best university in the northern Poland in the field of tourim and hotel industry. In compliance with the decisions of the Minister of National Education, Academy runs bachelor's programmes, master's programmes and postgraduates studies in the field TOURISM & RECREATION. Academic staff guarantee high teaching standards. The staff consists of specialists of Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk, state-owned universities in Tricity and outstanding representatives of business activity.

Cooperation and Internships

From its earliest days, the Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management in Gdansk has been an international institution both in its vision and in its actions. The Academy pays special attention to building and developing links with esteemed universities as well as hotels and restaurants of the world. International co-operation is a prerequisite for ensuring the sustainability and quality of teaching. Cultivating a network of international relations allows the the Academy to boost the mobility of its academic staff and students and motivates them to learn foreign languages.

Students are obliged to have an internship period of at least 15 weeks. They have an opportunity to hold their internships in Poland or abroad for example in: Germany, UK, France, USA, Greece, Canada.
