Yao from China and his studies in Gdansk
Who are you? Briefly describe yourself (where do you come from, what do you study, etc.)
I am Yao LU, I come from China. I study International Business in the University of Gdansk Faculty of Economics.
What has surprised you in Poland?
The culture is totally different from China.
How did you come up with the idea of studying in Poland?
A Chinese agency "east international" encouraged me to study in Poland.
Do you remember the first days of studying in Poland? Describe the struggles you went through.
First day was interesting; you could see and get to know people from other countries. I had communication problems because of language.
Tell us about the differences between studies in Poland and studies in China:
In Poland teachers encourage us to do things on our own, whereas in china teachers ask you to mainly read the books. Teachers in China have different approach to modern issues than in Poland.
What do you like about studying in Poland?
You can know people from other countries. I had an opportunity to improve my language and communication skills. Studies in Poland are more rich from those in China.
Do you know any famous people from Poland?
Kopernicus from Torun, Lech Walesa and Marie Curie.
Describe the places in Poland that have a positive influence on you:
Sopot, because I have lived and studied here for three years.
Tell us about the country you've always wanted to visit, but still haven't:
Norway, because I want to see Polar lights.

Would you like to come back to Poland in the future? Why?
Yes, Because I have good memories.
Have you made any permanent relations with polish students? What you like the most in them?
No. However, they are friendly people.
