Italian student at John Paul II Catholic Unviersity of Lublin

Who are you? Briefly describe yourself: name, country you come from, where and what you study in Poland?

My name is Pierpaolo. I'm from Italy. In Poland I studied psychology at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin.

How did you come up with the idea of studying in Poland?

During the Erasmus program request, I was looking for a university where I could study in English. England was full of student. In Spain, Germany, or France there is usually no possibility of studying in English. So I saw the complete list of universities and one name caught my attention: John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin. It was the only name that I really knew on the list. I clicked and I saw it was possible to study in English, so I chose it. 

What was your first impression about the country?

Dark, natural landscapes , deserted (it was on Sunday when all shops were closed)

What do you like about studying in Poland?

The kindness of teachers, the opportunity of improving my English, the style of life (peace of life , parties, values, etc) and girls ahahah

What do you like the most about the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin?

The atmosphere within work in progress, attention to people, cleanliness and functionality of the building, values, people, etc.

Would you recommend Poland  and Catholic University in Lublin as a place to study? Why? (give a few reasons)

Yes of course. Because studies here can be an enriching and motivating experience not only for path of studies, but for the whole life.

What do you think about Polish people?

I think that they are like all people in other country, I mean that there are good and bad people everywhere. 

What are your favourite places/cities in Poland?  

I didn’t travel enough in Poland for answering, but for sure I like Zakopane, Lublin, Krakow, Czestochowa.

What do you do in your spare time in Lublin?

Meeting friends, going to clubs, doing some church activities, sports, relaxing, eating polish food, listening polish music, going to "biedronka" (popular polish discount store)

When you think “Poland” what first comes to your mind?

Girls, vodka, flag, church-values, under construction country

How well do you know Polish? (the funniest or the most difficult Polish words for you)

I don’t know Polish well. The funniest word: "kupa". The most difficult word: the word that I don’t know ahaha
