Interview with Ukrainian student in Poland
Who are you? Briefly describe yourself (where do you come from, what do you study, etc.)
My name is Marko and I'm 3rd year International Economic Relations (MSG) student. I'm just an ordinary ukrainian guy from a city named Borislav.
What has surprised you in Poland?
Polish girls :)
How did you come up with the idea of studying in Poland?
I have Polish roots, that's why I thought it could be a good idea.
Do you remember the first days of studying in Poland? Describe the struggles you went through:
I do remember them. The biggest problem was obviously the language barrier.
Tell us about the differences between studies in Poland and studies in Ukraine:
The level of education seems to be lower out here. In Ukraine you have to spent more time at the university.
What do you like about studying in Poland?
The fact, the education level is lower.
Do you know any famous people from Poland?
Many, for example, Lech Wałęsa, Lech Kaczyński, Maria Skłodowska-Curie.
Describe the places in Poland, that have a positive influence on you:
Sopot - quiet, calm and you can spent your free time, doing fun.
Tell us about the country you've always wanted to visit, but still haven't:
I'd love to visit Russia.
Are you a member of any student's club or organization? Tell us something about it:
No, I'm not.
Have you made any permament relations with Polish students? What do you like most in them?
I have many friends here. I like the fact, that there aren't many differences between ukrainian and Polish
If you run your own business or work anywhere, please tell us something about it (what is it, how many hours weekly do you work, etc.)
I used to work in shop as a security.
Would you like to come back to Poland in the future? Why?
I intend to stay here. It seems like a good place to live.
