Interview with international student from China
Z.Xian from China tells about her study time in Poland. She studied International Economic Relations at Gdansk University.
What has surprised you in Poland?
Nothing, but I was shocked that if somebody invites you to a party, you have to bring your own drinks. But now I treat this situation as a part of Polish culture and get used to it.
How did you come up with the idea of studying in Poland?
It was my dad's suggestion.
Do you remember the first days of studying in Poland? Describe the struggles you went through.
No, I don't remember it.
Tell us about the differences between studies in Poland and studies in China?
Difference is that I do not need to speak English in classes, the way of teaching and examination is also different. In China we don't have many projects or presentations to do.
What do you like about studying in Poland?
It makes me more convenient to travel around Europe.
Do you know any famous people from Poland?
Describe the places in Poland, that have a positive influence on you.
It's all same to me, but I really like my friend's (Kasia) home, it was in summer of my first year, she invited us to her home which is a small town near Gdansk. On the way to there, everything was green and there is a lake surrounded. We had some fun together. It was a great memory.
Tell us about the country you've always wanted to visit, but still haven't.
There are many, such as Thailand, Greece, France, India and South Africa etc.
Are you a member of any student's club or organization? Tell us something about it.
No, I'm not.
Would you like to come back to Poland in the future? Why?
Yes, why not. I want to see the how different it looks like than in the past.
If you run your own business or work anywhere, please tell us something about it (what is it, how many hours weekly do you work, etc.
No, I am not working at the moment. So I couldn't tell you, sorry.
