Brad from the United States about his project
Who are you? Briefly describe yourself (where do you come from, what do you study, etc.)
My name is Brad, I just graduated from a University in the USA called University of Wisconsin in the city of Madison. I study business and entrepreneurship, as well as Spanish.
What has surprised you in Europe?
The lifestyle is much different in the parts of Europe I traveled to. There is a bit more focus and importance on the family. In the U.S. it is very common for most university students to go to school out of state.
How did you come up with the idea of working at worldcelebrationblog.com ?
The idea came to me when I was discusses why more people don't travel, aside from financial reasons. Many college students are stuck inside this bubble of thinking that college in the U.S. is the best time of their life, and after that they will travel to where the money is. I noticed in Europe and South America first off, many students don't get the opportunity to travel to other states to study. But more importantly, they do not concentrate their freedom and happiness in to four years. I started the website to foster a shared advice giving community of young students to share music festivals, events, and local holiday celebrations to travel to. I feature student recommendations, and by the end of the summer the blog will be a website and mobile app that allows travelers to search for where they are in the world and can look up what's going on that week in the area.
Describe the places in Europe, that have a positive influence on you:
Spain had a huge impact on me, also the Netherlands and Belgium.
