Alejo from Spain about his time in Poland
Who are you? Briefly describe yourself (where do you come from, what do you study, etc.)
My name is Alejo Puche Navarrete, i come from Spain, i am study telecommunication systems engineer, i am 25 years old, i spend my Erasmus studies in Krakow, Cracow University of Technology.
What has surprised you in Poland?
- The weather, less cold that I was thinking about (in spring and autumn).
- The people so friendly. - Girls so pretty :)
- The Roads so awful!"
How did you come up with the idea of studying in Poland?
To spend my Erasmus in Poland, a different place than Spain.
Do you remember the first days of studying in Poland? Describe the struggles you went through:
It was difficult to take out university ID, no one in the secretary could speak in English... was difficult but the Polish students help us in all the things :)
Tell us about the differences between studies in Poland and studies in Spain:
In Spain we have classification 0 to 10 and in Poland is 0 to 5 is little different but is ok. Also in Poland we make more practise work than Spain, it was so great too.
What do you like about studying in Poland?
The people and the posibility of study in English.
Describe the places in Poland, that have a positive influence on you:
Wroclaw, Warsaw and Auschwitz. Of course all the place green and so beautiful, I'm from the south of Spain is so so different.
Tell us about the country you've always wanted to visit, but still haven't:
City Gdansk, I was waiting for this travel, but at final I could not do it :(
If you run your own business or work anywhere, please tell us something about it.
I am a web developer and I work in my own, I usually work like 10 to 15 hours per week.
Are you a member of any student's club or organization? Tell us something about it:
Yes, I am a member of the ESN ( INTERNACIONAL EXCHANGE ERASMUS STUDENT NETWORK) of Murcia (My city) like a volunteer to help all the international students and meet people around all the world :))
Have you made any permanent relations with polish students? What do you like in the most of them?
I meet many Polish people, they are so different from Spanish people but also great people and friendly.
Would you like to come back to Poland in the future? Why?
Yes! I really love Poland, I had passed a great time there and for sure I would like to go there again, to travel and who knows... maybe to live :)
