University of Lower Silesia

University of Lower Silesia - located in Wrocław. ULS currently offers degree programs in education, special-needs education, national security, international relations, journalism and communication, cultural studies, cultural anthropology, geodesy and cartography and other.

University of Lower Silesia (ULS) is one of the biggest and the oldest non-public universities in Poland. Set close to the city center and only 20 minutes drive from Wrocław's airport ULS offers students studies in modern buildings with convenient access not only to the city's main attractions but also to the rest of Europe. Situated between Prague, Warsaw and Berlin Wrocław boats a developed transportation infrastructure that connect the metropolis with the whole of the continent and beyond. 


Two faculties of University: Faculty of Educational Sciences and Faculty of Social Sciences and Communication have the right to confer doctor's degree. Moreover the Faculty of Educational Sciences has the right to confer a habilitated doctor's degree.

Every year one-semester international programmes in English for Erasmus and exchange students in three fields of studies:



  • Education and Contemporary Culture, Security Studies, Digital Media and Computer Mediated Communication; 
  • Every year international summer programme: 

- "Experiencing the New Europe", that combines classroom study with on-site experiential learning to explore European cultural, political and economic transformation in an urban context;

- Every year an intensive, four-country programme: "The Culture and Politics of Reconciliation in Central Europe", where students learn about ways in which European cities and nations have dealt with the legacies and memories of 20th century political, social and ethnic conflicts; 

- Every year "Democracy and Diversity Institute", a prestigious, graduate (doctoral) summer programme co-organized by New School of Social Research (New York, USA); 

- Every year Intensive English Language Summer School - summer programme of English language studies co-organized by New School University (New York, USA).
